Extreme durability and safety qualities makes fiberglass grating cost-effective in the food manufacturing industry.

Century Composites has designed and manufactured FRP products for the food manufacturing industry for over 25 years.

Byproducts of beef and chicken processing plants pose safety issues for employees. Waste from livestock and cleaning materials including bleach and hydrochloric acid are highly corrosive. Grating made from metals including stainless steel are susceptible to material degradation in these environments making them cost prohibitive.

FRP grating is particularly useful for slip resistance and ability to withstand corrosive environments. Used throughout food processing plants, fiberglass grating offers slip protection and holds up in areas needing repeat and constant cleansing. Food Grade FRP grating, which meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact though not required in food processing plants, is also available upon request.
